Professor Adam Jaffe is a key leader in the paediatric rare diseases space as the Chair of Rare Diseases NSW, transforming rare disease care in NSW and nationally. Professor Jaffe’s research brings together healthcare workers, scientists, government regulatory bodies, children with a rare disease and their families to develop a pathway for comprehensive care and provide wrap around support for the family. The Rare Disease Network was instrumental in 2023 to lead research into novel therapies for rare diseases and work with families to implement new research into clinical practice. “Our children and families play a significant role, we need to listen and be driven by their voices. As we continue our research to help those living with a rare disease, we get closer to a future where personalised therapies can be delivered safely and without delay.” Read the research paper published in the Nature Reviews Drug Discovery journal: https://lnkd.in/ehhmNDeH
