More than $1.5 billion is being invested in RHIP's infrastructure, $1 billion of which is from the NSW Government, across three major redevelopments. Over the next five years, new buildings will be delivered as part of the Randwick Campus Redevelopment (RCR) - this includes the Prince of Wales Acute Services Building (ASB) which opened to the public in March 2023.

Our Partners are working together to design purpose-built environments that emphasise health innovation and collaboration through infrastructure solutions that put patients at the centre.

Randwick Campus Redevelopment

The Prince of Wales Hospital Acute Services Building (ASB):

Integrating UNSW health-related education, training and research spaces due to open in 2023. Here, UNSW researchers will sit side by side with clinicians across multiple disciplines promoting greater collaboration.

Sydney Children’s Hospital Stage 1 and the Minderoo Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre due to open in 2025.

The NSW and Federal Governments have announced $658 million to deliver brand new, state-of-the-art paediatric health and medical research facilities as part of the first stage of redeveloping Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.

UNSW Sydney’s Health Translation Hub (HTH) due to open in 2025.

The University has a significant presence in each of the clinical buildings and will host the health partners for education and collaboration spaces in the Health Translation Hub.

Property fund manager ISPT, and super funds HESTA and UniSuper, as part of the Plenary Health consortium, led by investor and developer Plenary Group, will partner with UNSW Sydney to develop the circa $600 million Health Translation Hub (HTH) project.
