Medical Management of Peripheral Artery Disease: An Update
This presentation, led by Professor Mary M. McDermott, MD, will provide an overview of scientific discoveries that have led to novel therapeutic interventions currently being tested in randomised clinical trials. These include innovative treatments such as medical management, nutraceuticals for claudication pain, and various modes and prescriptive elements of exercise.
This is a great opportunity to learn about a range of therapies for peripheral artery disease and to meet the speaker in person.

About the Speaker
Professor Mary M. McDermott, MD, is the Jeremiah Stamler Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, and Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University, USA. She also serves as a Deputy Editor at the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).
